A. Register at the online video site.
Go to: https://discipleship.uteach.io/
At the top Menu, Choose "All Courses."
Purchase the Journey Bible Insititute Course.
You can begin the course at any time, but it's good to have the content, but it's in the App below before you begin.
B. Put the Journey Bible Institute App on your phone.
Go to this website on your phone: https://m.journeybibleinstitute.info
The App is a Progressive Web app.
You can view the app/site from any device, but it works great on a phone.
Next, to make the app look and work good, add it to your Home Screen:
C. Creating a home screen bookmark or icon for a Progressive Web App (PWA) on an iPhone.
Here’s how you can do it using Safari, the default browser on iOS:
1. Open Safari:
Launch the Safari app on your iPhone.
2. Navigate to the Website:
Enter the URL of the PWA you want to add to your home screen in Safari’s address bar and load the website.
3. Access the Share Menu:
Tap the share icon, which looks like a square with an arrow pointing out from the top. This icon is typically located at the bottom of the Safari screen on an iPhone.
4. Add to Home Screen:
Scroll through the options in the share menu until you find “Add to Home Screen” and tap it. This option allows you to create a shortcut to the website on your home screen.
5. Name Your Shortcut if it does get the name Journey Bible Institute
You will be prompted to name your new home screen icon. Choose a name that will help you easily identify the PWA. You can leave the default name or edit it as you see fit.
6. Add the Shortcut:
Tap “Add” in the upper-right corner of the screen. This action places the shortcut icon on your home screen, functioning much like an app icon.
7. Locate the Icon:
Exit Safari and go to your iPhone’s home screen to find the new icon; choose “Edit Home Screen” and drag it to your first screen or wherever you want it to be easily opened.
You can now open your PWA directly from this icon, just like you would with a native app.
For other phone operating systems, check your steps and install the app on your home screen.
This process essentially bookmarks the PWA to your home screen, providing quicker access and a more app-like experience. When you tap the icon, Safari will open and navigate directly to the PWA without showing the browser interface, making it feel more integrated into your device.
D. Open the Journey Bible Insititute App
Notice the different sections in the app in the menu at the bottom.
The app will ask you to set a Username and a Password. Write that information down; your phone should remember it.
In the Lessons section, Volume One, Lesson One will be turned on by me after you set a User Name and Password.
When you complete the video and the quiz for Volume 1, Lesson 1, then Lesson 2 will be turned on.
This will be the system throughout the course.
In this way, you will always have the entire Journey Bible Institute content on your phone.
